The Role:
We are looking for a Junior Sustainability Consultant to join our Nottingham-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability in the built environment, keen to develop expertise in BREEAM and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). The successful candidate will work closely with senior consultants, gaining invaluable one-on-one training to develop technical skills, client management experience, and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with BREEAM assessments, from pre-assessment to certification.
- Supporting the delivery of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for various projects.
- Conducting sustainability research and data analysis.
- Liaising with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
- Preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Staying up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Some knowledge or experience with BREEAM and/or LCA (academic or professional).
- A keen interest in sustainable buildings and carbon reduction strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a close-knit team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with LCA software (e.g., One Click LCA) is a plus.
