Workshop Supervisor β Edinburgh (Β£44,500-Β£45,000)
CDM Recruitment are managing the recruitment process for an established organisation within the aviation and ground support equipment sector.
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead workshop and airside operations in Edinburgh.
The Role
Youβll supervise a team of workshop and mobile engineers, coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading and motivating a team of 5β10 workshop and mobile engineers.
- Planning and allocating workloads to meet productivity and service targets.
- Overseeing maintenance, repairs and airside responses.
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality and customer service.
- Conducting quality checks and supporting team development.
- Managing tooling, equipment and relevant compliance records.
- Supporting performance, attendance and disciplinary processes.
- Deputising for the Operations Manager when required.
- Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with shifts of 06:00β14:30 or 08:00β16:30.
There is an on-call rota of approximately 1 week in 5, covering 7 days, with two days off the following week.
About You
- Previous supervisory/team leadership experience β essential.
- Background in vehicle maintenance, logistics or a similar operational environment.
- Experience within the vehicle maintenance sector.
- LGV/HGV Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance qualification β essential.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and operational compliance.
