Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our client's team. This is an office-based role handling inbound sales enquiries, processing customer orders for steel products, and managing all associated paperwork through our internal stock and order management system. As you grow into the role, you will also be responsible for re-engaging lapsed customers from an existing database, helping to rebuild relationships and generate repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling inbound telephone and email enquiries from customers
- Taking and processing orders for steel products accurately and efficiently
- Managing order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices, and other related paperwork
- Using the internal stock system to check availability, allocate stock, and update records
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure orders are fulfilled on time
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
- Re-establishing contact with lapsed customers and reigniting business relationships as the role develops
About You
- Previous experience in sales, internal sales, or order processing (steel or industrial products advantageous but not essential)
- Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop within a sales role
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships
