We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Site Manager to oversee an earthworks and drainage/sewage works package on a live project in the North East. This freelance position is ideal for a capable, hands-on site manager who can independently manage a civils package from day to day, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the project programme.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for supervising the delivery of earthworks and drainage operations on site. You will ensure the package stays on track by coordinating daily activities and maintaining communication with engineers, the main contractor, and other stakeholders.
The role involves upholding high standards of health and safety, monitoring progress, recording daily activities, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and RAMS. A strong technical understanding of groundworks, earthworks, and foul/drainage systems is essential. You should be able to identify issues early and implement solutions to prevent delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of earthworks and drainage/sewage works
- Monitor progress and ensure activities align with the project programme
- Maintain strong health and safety standards and ensure RAMS adherence
