Key Responsibilities
- Operating conventional machine tools, including manual lathes and milling machines.
- Preparing cast tubes and components for subsequent manufacturing processes.
- Carrying out machining operations to achieve required surface finish standards and minimise rework.
- Recording dimensional measurements before and after machining operations.
- Conducting visual inspections to ensure components meet quality requirements.
- Identifying and marking materials correctly, including alloy identification and segregation.
- Loading and unloading components using overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment.
- Making adjustments to machining processes to ensure products meet specification and quality standards.
- Following production plans and work instructions to meet operational targets.
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment at all times.
