Are you an experienced Office Manager looking for a varied role where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful engineering and manufacturing business seeking a proactive Office Manager to work closely with the General Manager, supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.

This is far more than a traditional office management position.

You'll play a key role across purchasing, planning, administration, supplier management and business operations, becoming an integral part of a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of office and operational processes, including:

  • Purchasing materials and raising purchase orders.
  • Liaising with suppliers and managing procurement activities.
  • Supporting manufacturing and installation planning.
  • Inventory and stock administration.
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices and supporting debt collection.
  • Managing holiday records, sickness and timesheets.
  • Maintaining compliance documentation and production records.
  • Supporting the General Manager with day-to-day business operations.
  • Maintaining accurate reports, records and documentation.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a busy engineering environment.

Ideally you'll have experience in

  • Office Management.
  • Purchasing or procurement.
  • Manufacturing or engineering administration.
  • Planning or scheduling.
  • Stock or inventory control.
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Purchase orders, invoicing and general finance administration.
  • Working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
