We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to oversee the fabrication and welding operations within our client’s company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and the timely delivery of projects while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets.
- Supervise fabrication and welding teams, ensuring optimal workforce utilization and performance.
- Implement and maintain production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and industry regulations.
- Monitor and improve productivity, reducing downtime and waste while maximizing efficiency.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Liaise with other departments including procurement, sales, and design to align production with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production workflows.
- Train and develop staff, fostering a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and KPIs for management review.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a production management role within a fabrication and welding environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and industry best practices.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. (desirable)
- Relevant welding and fabrication certifications.
- H&S Qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH etc)
- Experience with ISO quality management systems.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery and automated fabrication equipment.
