CDM Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly successful manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Design Technician to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with SolidWorks experience and a background in sheet metal fabrication who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and technically focused environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Design Team, you will be involved in the creation and maintenance of technical drawings, 3D models and engineering documentation whilst supporting the development of both existing and new products.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Supporting customer enquiries with technical drawings and design information.
  • Creating and maintaining product Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Assisting with new product requests, product modifications and engineering change processes.
  • Supporting technical queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and design records.

The Person

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Experience using SolidWorks.
  • Experience producing 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
