CDM Recruitment are working with a leading global engineering organisation to recruit a Manufacturing Project Engineer for their Newcastle facility. This is a varied role focused on engineering improvement projects across manufacturing operations, particularly around the final preparation and packing of large engineered products. The Role * Lead and support manufacturing improvement projects. * Map processes and identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and efficiency improvements. * Apply Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies. * Produce and update AutoCAD layouts and technical documentation. * Develop SOPs, work standards, design rules and process documentation. * Coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors. * Support manufacturing readiness, risk reviews and engineering change. * Use structured problem solving to resolve manufacturing issues. * Support improvements to how large products and materials move through the facility. About You We're interested in engineers with: * Experience within manufacturing or engineering. * Project engineering and/or continuous improvement experience. * Process mapping and Lean/CI knowledge. * AutoCAD experience. * Strong stakeholder and project coordination skills. * Experience delivering against challenging project schedules. Experience within heavy engineering, offshore, subsea, marine or large-scale manufacturing would be beneficial, as would an awareness of heavy lifting/material handling, but direct logistics or subsea experience is not essential.
