Location: Walker, Newcastle Start Date: 21/09/2026 Contract: Approximately 6 weeks Pay: 17.81 per hour PAYE Overtime: 26.72 per hour after 39 hours Nights: 22.10 per hour (Monday Saturday) Sundays: 35.62 per hour CDM Engineering are currently recruiting for experienced MMA Welders to work on a short-term contract with one of our long-standing clients in the marine and sea transport sector. The successful welders will be working on sea fastenings and securing cable carousels for installation onto vessels. The client has an established hot works department in place, providing a controlled and experienced working environment. The Role * MMA welding to a coded standard * Welding and fabrication of sea fastenings * Securing and supporting cable carousels for installation onto vessels * Working to engineering drawings and specifications * Maintaining high standards of quality and safety * Working within an established hot works department Requirements * Proven experience as an MMA Welder * Experience working to a coded welding standard * Ideally hold in-date MMA welding qualifications/codes * Previous marine, shipyard, heavy engineering or structural welding experience would be advantageous * Ability to work safely and effectively within a busy industrial environment * Relevant welding certificates must be provided prior to starting Pay
