CDM Recruitment is recruiting a detail-oriented and commercially aware Sales Estimator / Pricer to join a busy sales office in Middlesbrough. The position is focused on producing accurate, competitive quotations and supporting sales teams with pricing insight across a technical product range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations from enquiries generated by Sales and Account Management teams.
  • Liaise with colleagues across multiple branch locations to clarify pricing and customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance on quotations and orders to improve accuracy and conversion rates.
  • Analyse market trends, product ranges and cable types to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Review pricing in response to supplier changes, market movement and customer requirements.
  • Manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively by telephone and email with internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous estimating, pricing, quotations or sales support experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing principles.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office and sales/order system experience.
  • Cable, electrical or a related technical/product-based background is strongly preferred.

Package & Benefits

  • This is a full-time, office-based position. Hybrid and remote working are not offered.
  • Due to local traffic and the office-based nature of the role, candidates should ideally live within approximately a 30-minute commute.
  • 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 25 days.
  • Annual pay review.
  • Company pension: 5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution.
  • Non-contractual scrap bonus after 12 months' service.
  • Non-contractual Christmas bonus after 12 months' service, starting at one week's wage and increasing with length of service.
  • Summer and winter social events.
  • Option of weekly or monthly pay.
