CDM are currently recruiting for Mechanical Test Technicians for a client based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The technicians are responsible for all of the final testing of systems, once they are built. You will be responsible for testing all fibre optic systems as well as the electrical lines, hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
You will do this with continuity testing, to make sure that all those systems are working throughout the entire product. You will also carry out hydrostatic high-pressure testing. Up to 2 years worth of training will be provided with all the various forms of testing.
You will be working in a heavy engineering environment, which is very clean, modern, quiet and slow paced. You are also given a lot of autonomy to work within your small team as our client doesn't believe in having to micro-manage people.

Basic salary £45,281 (inclusive of shift allowance) / £21.77ph.
