We are currently recruiting an Oils & Water Technician to join a busy airport workshop operation supporting a large fleet of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This is a hands-on, site-based role ideal for someone with vehicle or workshop experience who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and reliability.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the routine topping up of oils, water, batteries, and refuelling of identified GSE vehicles and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring fleet availability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled oil, water, and battery level top-ups
- Refuel Support Vehicles as required
- Perform visual inspections of battery terminals and general condition
- Report corrosion, damage, excessive usage, or defects to the Lead Hand
- Maintain accurate logs of all top-ups and checks completed
- Complete monthly hour and mileage checks
- Escalate any equipment that cannot be located
- Support general workshop duties when required
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies
- Correctly use PPE and follow safe systems of work
- Report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, or defective equipment
- Comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 standards

- Experience in a customer-focused or workshop environment
- Background in vehicle maintenance or similar technical setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
