We are currently recruiting for a Pressure Tester / Auxiliary Fabrication Operative to join a busy fabrication workshop within a well-established engineering and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out hydrostatic pressure testing on steel tubes to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
  • Testing components to withstand high-pressure water conditions in line with engineering specifications
  • Supporting the inspection team, including assisting with DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection) testing when required
  • Working safely and accurately within a fabrication shop environment
  • Operating overhead cranes to move materials and components around the workshop
  • Assisting welders by preparing materials and setting up for upcoming jobs
  • Performing root grinding and straightening of steel tubes
  • General auxiliary and workshop support duties as required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge or experience of hydrostatic pressure testing (desirable)
  • Experience using overhead cranes (desirable)
  • Understanding of workshop safety procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support multiple departments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
