Nightshift HGV Technician β Heathrow (Β£47,379.40 - Β£51,922.64)
CDM Recruitment are managing the recruitment process for an established organisation within the aviation and ground support equipment sector.
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join an airside workshop at Heathrow.
This is a hands-on nightshift role, responsible for maintaining and repairing ground support vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring the fleet remains safe, reliable and operational.
The Role
- Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on HGVs, vehicles and plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete inspections, brake tests and smoke tests.
- Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets and time records.
- Identify additional work and parts requirements and communicate these to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to required quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records and follow relevant health, safety and compliance procedures.
- Report defective tools, equipment or parts immediately.
- Work effectively as part of a team within a busy operational environment.
- Working Hours
This is a fully on-site, airside workshop position at Heathrow.
About You
- Previous experience in HGV/vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification β essential.
- HGV Class 3 licence would be advantageous.
- Forklift licence would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within a workshop environment.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively on a nightshift.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality.
