An established and growing organisation based in Gateshead is looking to appoint a proactive and detail-focused Project & Programme Administrator on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal support role working across multiple programmes, ensuring projects are accurately planned, resourced, and delivered in line with client expectations.
The Role
This is a hands-on coordination role supporting project managers and operational teams across several live workstreams. You’ll play a key part in maintaining programme plans, managing labour schedules, supporting reporting, and ensuring documentation and compliance processes are up to date. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and updating project schedules, key milestones, and programme trackers
- Supporting weekly and long-range labour planning across multiple projects
- Preparing and issuing labour requirement communications
- Attending internal resource and planning meetings
- Managing change requests and ensuring documentation is accurately recorded
- Coordinating client reporting and supporting progress update meetings
- Issuing completion documentation and maintaining clear project records
- Supporting document control processes and compliance checks
- Assisting with project setup on internal systems
- Recording and tracking purchase orders and operational documentation
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an organised and confident project support professional who enjoys working across multiple teams and keeping programmes on track. You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in project administration, programme coordination, or project support
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Projects
- Experience maintaining Gantt charts, trackers, and labour schedules
- Confidence attending and contributing to internal and client meetings
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
Experience within a technical, engineering, infrastructure, or similar project-led environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
