We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join one of our well-respected clients within the material handling sector. This is a field-based role ideal for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service.
Role Overview
- Service, maintain, and repair forklifts at customer sites
- Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably
- Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance in line with safety standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Respond to breakdown calls, resolving issues quickly to minimise downtime
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing progress updates and equipment advice
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed records of work and parts used
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience servicing and repairing forklifts or similar heavy equipment
