I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced operational support team within the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a varied role supporting both office and site-based teams across multiple projects.

The Role

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to operational teams and site staff, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of business processes. The role is varied and will involve a mix of general administration, coordination, and project support within a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update internal administration systems, ensuring accuracy and relevance
  • Support filing, archiving, scanning, and document control processes
  • Collate and input data for KPI reporting and performance tracking
  • Assist with Health & Safety administration, including equipment ordering and record keeping
  • Support HR processes such as onboarding, inductions, and new starter administration
  • Coordinate and monitor staff training in collaboration with internal departments
  • Order plant, materials, and supplies for site operations
  • Assist with project compliance and administrative preparation tasks
  • Attend meetings when required and accurately record minutes and actions
  • Ensure all reports, forms, and documentation are completed accurately and returned on time
  • Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider operational team as required

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (construction, site, or operational environments desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • A professional attitude with a commitment to high standards of work
