£47–52k | Newcastle | Permanent 15 days off in every 21 | No weekend working | Private healthcare CDM Recruitment is working with a major engineering and manufacturing business in Newcastle to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is a hands-on electrical maintenance role working across a substantial manufacturing site, covering reactive and preventative maintenance, breakdowns, electrical fault finding and equipment improvement. The shift pattern is a major benefit: five 12-hour day shifts and five 12-hour night shifts across a 21-day cycle, giving you 15 days off in every 21 with no weekend working. The role: * Reactive, planned and preventative electrical maintenance * Electrical fault finding and breakdown response * Maintenance of manufacturing and production equipment * Fault finding on electrical control systems, motors, sensors and associated equipment * Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics * Root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvements * Supporting machinery installation and commissioning * Continuous improvement and downtime reduction * PLC fault finding and diagnostics where required What we're looking for: * Time-served Electrical Maintenance Technician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer * Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent * Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or engineering * Strong electrical fault-finding skills * Experience fault finding on industrial machinery and control systems * Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics * PLC fault-finding/diagnostic experience advantageous * HNC or equivalent advantageous Package: * £47–52k * Overtime and annual bonus * Permanent position * 12-hour rotating days and nights * No weekend working * 15 days off in every 21 * Private healthcare
