An established and growing electrical manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter to join its production team in Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering environment working on bespoke low voltage (LV) switchgear and control panel solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the assembly, wiring and pre-testing of bespoke LV switchgear and control panels. The role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail and the capability to work from engineering drawings and wiring schematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and build switchgear and control panels to engineering specifications
  • Complete wiring, terminations and electrical connections to a high standard
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Maintain accurate build and test documentation

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or similar
  • Previous experience within electrical manufacturing, panel building or switchgear assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and components

Desirable

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulation
