The Nexum Group is seeking an Electrical Estimator, for our client, based in Sunderland. The company are an established, dynamic and reputable M&E contractor with teams of highly skilled professionals based in Sunderland, Liverpool and London. This client has the knowledge and experience to handle complex projects of any scale, adhering to the highest industry standards. With a broad client base, recent fast growth, plus a healthy pipeline of work already for 2025, they are looking to add strength to their commercial team with a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Electrical Estimator. **Key Responsibilities:** – Prepare detailed estimates for electrical installations in commercial offices, data centres, public sector projects (e.g. hospitals), and direct client works. – Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive proposals. – Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimation of costs, including materials, labour, and overheads. – Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather all necessary information for accurate estimations. – Review and update existing cost databases and estimation tools. – Stay updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure all estimates comply with current laws and practices. **Qualifications:** – Relevant degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred. – Previous experience as an electrical estimator or in a relevant position – Strong analytical and mathematical skills. – Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. – Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **What is on Offer:** – Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. – Opportunities for professional development and training. – A dynamic working environment. – Involvement in exciting projects across various sectors.
