We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy production facility. This is a hands-on role focused on minimising downtime, improving reliability, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. This is a permanent nightshift position 4 on 4 off. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly and effectively to mechanical and electrical breakdowns
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose faults on production machinery and implement permanent fixes
  • Work on motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors and control systems
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects

About You

  • Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical competence
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 17th/18th Edition (if electrically biased)
  • Apprenticeship trained
