The Role
Working closely with the Design Team, you will be involved in the creation and maintenance of technical drawings, 3D models and engineering documentation whilst supporting the development of both existing and new products.
Responsibilities
- Producing 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Supporting customer enquiries with technical drawings and design information.
- Creating and maintaining product Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Assisting with new product requests, product modifications and engineering change processes.
- Supporting technical queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and design records.
The Person
- Experience using SolidWorks.
- Experience producing 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- A background within sheet metal fabrication or fabricated products.
- Previous experience in a CAD Technician, Design Technician, Draughtsperson or similar position.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
