We’re supporting a well-established civil engineering contractor in the North East who is looking to appoint an experienced General Foreman to oversee daily site operations across a range of civils and infrastructure projects. This role suits a hands-on leader who can drive productivity, maintain high safety standards, and support the successful delivery of complex site works.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Site Coordination: Lead and organise site teams to ensure smooth, efficient progress.
- Supervision of Trades & Labour: Oversee operatives and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to specification.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with CDM and company procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship, complete inspections, and maintain accurate site records.
- Programme Support: Work closely with Site Managers and Engineers to maintain progress and address delays.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues early and implement practical solutions to keep works on track.
What You’ll Bring
