Credit Administrator β€” Middlesbrough | Full-time, Permanent | Office-based

We are a well-established, industry-leading organisation within the distribution sector looking to strengthen its finance team with an experienced Credit Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in finance or credit control administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. You\’ll play a key role in supporting the credit control and finance departments to ensure customer accounts are managed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update customer account information within the finance system.
  • Process credit applications and support credit checks for new and existing clients.
  • Monitor account activity and assist in the collection of outstanding payments.
  • Produce and distribute statements, reminders, and customer correspondence.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies in payments or invoices.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries promptly.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance and credit teams as required.

You\’re detail-oriented, organised, and confident working with numbers. You enjoy working within structured processes but aren\’t afraid to show initiative when needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance or credit control admin role.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using Excel and finance systems (training provided if needed).
  • A team player with strong organisational and time management skills.
