We are working with our client who are an established offshore business based in Newcastle in the search for a Class 1 Driver. This is a yard based (Shunting job) on a permanent basis with no overnight/ long distance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company on a permanent basis with plenty of overtime available.
Responsibilities:
- To undertake general local collections and deliveries.
- To communicate with the office to arrange future pick-ups and deliveries.
- To assist with loading and offloading of goods.
- To complete and maintain documentation relating to freight, collections and deliveries.
- To comply with all relevant driving legislation and agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal work environment.
- To ensure company vehicles are kept clean and in good working order.
- To work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.
- To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
The Person:
- FLT License advantageous
- Driving license entitlement of Class 1
- Valid digital tachograph and up to date CPC card.
