Operations Manager

We are working with our client who are a successful oil and gas/renewables business in the search for an Operational Manager

You will be a key member of the management team and will be responsible for directing and overseeing all operational planning teams and activities within the business ensuring compliance, risk mitigation and safety. This role would be great for someone with a forces background although not essential as all experience considered

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage financial performance in line with the budgets, track and report on variances and proactively review to meet, or exceed, KPI’s and targets.
• Oversee the programming and delivery of work, liaising with other departmental managers to ensure effective and efficient working, and utilisation of resources.
• Manage and protect assets within the business
• Proactively assist in winning new business
• Provide a main point of contact for key customers, building and maintaining relationships, and attending client meetings representing the business, providing business reports and briefings as required.

The person

• Proven experience within with an operational environment at management level.
• Developed commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to understand influences and impacts on costs / revenue.
• Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively and grow a high performing operational team.
• Management qualification and relevant industry qualifications desirable, and / or relevant Oil Gas / Renewable industry experience.
