Our client is a leading Building Services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality MEP solutions across commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, fit-out and renewable energy projects. With continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding team.
Operating across the North East, Scotland and Yorkshire, the business has built its success on innovation, collaboration, quality delivery and long-standing client relationships, delivering projects from design through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to final handover. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Projects are located throughout the North East, Scotland and Yorkshire. While travel is required, overnight stays are generally limited to around two nights per week once projects are live and underway.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing mechanical projects from inception to completion
- Coordinating design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities
- Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
- Leading site teams and subcontractors
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality and industry standards
- Managing project reporting and stakeholder communication
About You
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the Building Services / MEP sector
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, pipework and mechanical installations
- Experience delivering Design & Build projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities
- SMSTS, CSCS and other relevant industry qualifications desirable
