Role Overview:

As a Building Services Manager, you will oversee the coordination, management, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on various construction projects in the North East. You will ensure that all building services are delivered to the highest quality standards, meet project deadlines, and stay within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of MEP services across multiple construction projects
  • Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure service designs meet specifications and project goals
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of building services, ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, ideally within a national contractor or a large-scale construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and building services design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it would be an advantage
