We are recruiting for a leading distributor within the electrical and engineering supply sector seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to cover the East Scotland and Edinburgh area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding sales across a defined territory, promoting a wide range of electrical and engineering products. The role involves servicing an existing portfolio of clients within sectors such as Electrical Contracting, Engineering, Generator OEMs, Renewables (including Wind Farms), and Oil & Gas. In addition, the Area Sales Manager will be tasked with identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Identify and convert new sales opportunities to expand market share.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer service and account satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, trends, and competitor activity.
- Liaise with the Regional Manager to align on strategy, targets, and key accounts.
- Handle enquiries, quotations, and orders while ensuring a smooth sales process.
Proven experience in field-based B2B sales, ideally within electrical, cable, or related technical products (desirable but not essential). Ability to manage multiple accounts and build long-term client relationships.
