Our client, a fast-growing and highly successful business within the electrical supply sector, is looking to recruit a motivated Buyer / Stock Controller to support their continued expansion. This is a key role within the operations team, ideal for an ambitious individual with experience in electrical wholesale or a good understanding of electrical installation products. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring accurate stock levels, securing competitive supplier pricing, and supporting the sales team with pricing and product availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor warehouse stock levels and replenish inventory efficiently to meet business demand.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with existing suppliers while maintaining strong commercial relationships.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth and product range development.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide pricing support, availability updates, and assistance with quotations and tenders.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, stock control, and supplier records.
  • Support stock forecasting, demand planning, and analysis of slow-moving and high-demand products.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within electrical wholesale or knowledge of electrical installation products is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, ambitious, and keen to develop within a growing business.
  • Confident using computer systems and stock control software.
