Do you possess experience configuring and integrating cloud infrastructure services? Are you interested in improving efficiency and user experience through better performing applications? We are seeking an Intermediate Platform Engineer with a background in cloud infrastructure services, automation and modern engineering practices. You will work with AWS technologies to build, maintain and enhance cloud platforms through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines and operational automation.
As a member of Platform Engineering Squad 3, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting platform capabilities that underpin critical business services. You will work closely with engineering, architecture and security teams to implement reliable, scalable and secure solutions while continually identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and user experience. You will also utilise modern AI-assisted engineering tools, including Kiro, GitLab Duo and Microsoft Copilot, to accelerate delivery, automate repetitive tasks, improve code quality and documentation, and enhance operational effectiveness. We are looking for engineers who are comfortable embracing emerging technologies and applying them pragmatically to solve real business and technical challenges.
What You'll Do
- Deliver and support cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform and application performance issues.
- Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and modernisation initiatives.
- Contribute to the reliability, availability and security of platform services.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational effort.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Contribute to incident, problem and change management activities.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, tools and approaches that could improve platform capabilities.
- Utilise AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, automation and operational efficiency.

About You
- Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as Terraform.
- Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to investigate and resolve infrastructure and platform issues in a timely manner.
- Experience planning and independently delivering infrastructure tasks, upgrades and migrations.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security and identity management concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Kiro, GitLab Duo, Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies to support software development, infrastructure automation and operational activities.
- Ability to effectively leverage AI-generated outputs while applying sound engineering judgement and technical validation.
- Interest in adopting emerging technologies that improve engineering productivity, automation and platform capabilities.
- AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate are desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
