Do you enjoy working within a fast-paced challenging environment, with opportunities to grow? We are looking for a Business Analyst who will work as part of our agile cross‑functional software engineering teams. A passionate and enthusiastic forward thinker, you will work closely with Product Owners, analysts, and software engineering teams to identify and analyse business requirements and support application and process changes through the delivery lifecycle. As part of a growing community of practice you will receive coaching and mentoring from other team members and there will be numerous opportunities to expand and increase your skills within an Analyst role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit and document business requirements, writing user stories and working with the product owner to ensure that there is a prioritised backlog of work.
- Participate in defining and proposing solutions to business problems.
- Proactively demonstrates a willingness to learn and increase their knowledge of CDL's family of products.
- Ability to state a problem formally, concisely, and clearly to then help derive a solution.
- Collaborate and actively contribute to Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, planning sessions and retrospectives.
- Produce documentation including diagrams using relevant diagramming tools.
- Understanding the software development lifecycle.
- Experience of working in cross functional teams.
- Confidence when using JIRA.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Solutions.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
- Actively participate and contribute to the Analyst community of practice, sharing experiences and knowledge with other analysts.
- Maintain and increase knowledge of design processes, tools, analysis best practice and architecture of CDL applications.
- Operates with a continuous improvement mindset towards the products they look after.
- Liaise with Product Owners to identify value and develop requirements.
- Develop requirements storyboards and write user stories with the squad.
- Work with the squad to refine backlog and prepare tickets for sprint planning using INVEST criteria.
- Carry incident management and investigation based on set priorities.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to solve problems and develop solutions.
- Write scoping briefs and solution design documents.
- Contribute to a BA community of practice to improve skills and working practices.
- Facilitate workshops in person and online.
- Manage technical, product and business stakeholder groups.
Desirable/Beneficial:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, experience in serverless architecture, insurance industry experience.
Salary: The salary for the role of Intermediate Business Analyst pays up to GBP 50,000 p.a, providing a fantastic opportunity for career progression through CDL's clearly defined career framework.
