Customer Dedicated Logistics are currently recruiting for our client in the Warmley area for a transport controller for their same day service. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop and grow the same day business and have the experience and confidence to make decisions and price for new work. Working within a successful transport company you will be supported by a very experienced group of people and will work towards building your own team. Key responsibilities; managing a small fleet of vehicles planning delivery routes to ensure optimal efficiency sourcing sub-contractors when necessary allocating jobs and briefing delivery drivers achieving a high level of service managing client relations monitoring ETA reports Candidates must; have experience with planning in the transport/haulage industry have a high level of UK geography knowledge be able to communicate strongly in a busy working environment have the ability to keep calm when under pressure be proactive and able to work under their own initiative Experience Previous experience in traffic management or a related field is essential.
