CDL Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing and well-established logistics provider, for an experienced Container Transport Operator to join their busy transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and organised individual looking to take the next step in a professional and fast-paced container transport environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage UK-wide import container deliveries and export collections
- Create and manage bookings using TOPS transport software
- Liaise effectively with drivers, subcontractors, and customers
- Handle email and telephone enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure data is kept up to date
- Support general transport operations and account management as required
- Minimum 3 years experience in container transport operations
- Strong knowledge of UK geography
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with TOPS software (preferred)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and perform under pressure
