We are currently recruiting reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Suffolk. This is a Sunday - Thursday role, offering consistent work with occasional nights out, delivering a variety of loads to customer sites across the UK. This position is ideal for an experienced Class 1 driver who takes pride in safe driving, punctual deliveries, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods between locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured, with particular attention to flatbed securement
- Comply with all road traffic laws, tachograph rules, and company policies
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and housekeeping
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Class 1 driver or in a similar driving role
- Good working knowledge of flatbed operations and load restraint techniques
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Strong understanding of UK traffic laws and driver regulations
- Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading duties
