We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and expanding container haulage specialist operating from London Gateway, one of the UK's most important deep-sea ports. Our client has built an excellent reputation for operational efficiency, long-term customer partnerships, and strong driver engagement.

Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are now seeking an experienced Transport Planner to strengthen their planning function.

The Role

This is a key position within a busy and fast-moving container operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective planning and execution of container movements from London Gateway, ensuring operational efficiency, legal compliance, and outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating container collections and deliveries from London Gateway
  • Managing daily and forward planning for a fleet of HGV drivers

  • Managing and monitoring drivers' hours, WTD, and legal requirements
  • Responding effectively to port delays, vessel changes, and operational challenges
