CDL Personnel are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Drivers on behalf of a well-established and respected aggregates haulier based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for reliable Monday to Friday work, competitive pay, and flexible working arrangements within the aggregates and construction sector.

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour

Weekly pay available

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Start time: 06:00am

Typical finish: around 17:00pm

The Role: As an HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of aggregates including sand, gravel, and other quarry materials to various sites and quarries across Essex and Kent. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are delivered on time while maintaining excellent standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a Class 2 tipper vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Delivering aggregates to construction sites, quarries, and commercial locations
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
  • Communicating with the transport team regarding deliveries and schedules
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service when dealing with site staff

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Driver CPC qualification and valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous tipper driving experience is essential
  • A professional, reliable, and positive attitude
  • Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
  • Willingness to undertake any additional training if required
