Our client, a well-established and growing transport operation, is currently looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join their team. The Role
This is a tramping position requiring overnight stays throughout the working week.
Shift Pattern
- 5 shifts per week
- Sunday start shifts
- Day and night driving required
Responsibilities
- Transport trailers between fulfilment and distribution centres
- Complete trailer drop and swap operations
- Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks
- Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
- Maintain accurate digital tachograph records
- Deliver a safe, professional and reliable service
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and site staff
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- At least 12 months' Class 1 driving experience (preferred)
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements
- Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
