Class 1 Driver (Nights)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our clients team in Colchester. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, and will play a crucial role in our trunking operations. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate Class 1 vehicles on night shifts, ensuring compliance with all road traffic laws and company policies. Perform trunking work, transporting goods between various locations in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety. Maintain accurate delivery and log records as required. Communicate effectively with the logistics team and other drivers to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the handling of goods and cargo. Requirements: Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license. A minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a similar role. A valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification. A clean driving record with no serious violations. Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Benefits: Competitive pay rate of £18.00 per hour.
