Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute paid lunch break)
Salary: £15.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are looking for a diligent and organized Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. You will work closely with the Assistant Accounts Manager, assisting with a variety of accounting tasks including sales and purchase ledgers, cash and bank reconciliations, and processing company credit card statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Assistant Accounts Manager in daily tasks
Manage Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and General Ledger entries in accounts systems and spreadsheets
Perform cash and bank reconciliations
Process company credit card statements and associated nominal postings
Control and process key account sales ledger transactions and receipts
Conduct balance sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations
Assist with daily and monthly reports and KPIs for management (e.g., transport analysis, daily sales)
Handle customer credit card payments and respond to sales ledger queries
Provide cover for holiday, sickness, and busy periods within the department
Skills & Abilities:
Fully computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and trial balance preferred
Highly organised with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
Excellent literacy and numerical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, with discretion, diplomacy, reliability, and trustworthiness
Team player willing to assist across different sections of the department
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role preferred
AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT
Intermediate Excel skills
