Our client based in Hastings is seeking a Sewing Machinist to join their team. Previous sewing machinist experience is advantageous but not essential. Experience with any types of sewing is preferred and full training will be provided on the machines.

Main Duties- Operate and monitor sewing machines to produce quality products using various materials.
- Interpret and programme designs on machines accordingly.
- Ensure machine is running correctly on each run.
- Ensure accurate thread colours and design placements according to specifications.
- Load and set up machine and setting for each run.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain an organised and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production schedules.
- Previous sewing machine experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with any forms of sewing is preferred.
- Able to work with light to heavy materials.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and practices.
Monday to Friday
7.30am to 4.30pm (12pm finish on Fridays).
