Our client is looking for an experienced permanent HGV HIAB driver to join their company, based near East Grinstead. The candidate must have a valid HIAB licence with hook and brick grab, must be experienced in driving up to a 26 Tonne vehicle and have no more than 6 points on their driving licence.
Main Duties
- To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of materials and equipment required for the business.
- Performing deliveries and collections to and from the customer sites, and other locations as required.
- Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public and other road users.
- Check equipment has been loaded/unloaded in a safe manner.
- Ensure that the total payload does not exceed vehicle weight limited.
- Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle.
- Carry out all H&S procedures, whilst delivering for the company.
- Check paperwork to see that the delivery/collection loads are correct.
- Ensure that all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for.
- Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded.
- Delivering throughout Kent and East Sussex.
Qualifications And Experience
- Holds a full clean driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on licence.
- Holds a valid HGV driving licence.
- Holds a valid CPC licence.
- Holds a valid HIAB Licence with hook and brick grab.
- Holds a valid Digi Tacho Card.
- Must have experience driving a 26 Tonne vehicle.
- Good personal presentation.
- Able to carry out manual handling tasks.
Working Hours
- Mondays to Fridays, no weekends.
- Working hours are between 6am to 5pm.
- The position is an ongoing for the right candidate.
