The position of the Arrest Officer plays an important role within CDER Group, responsible for delivering a professional arrest service by the effective and efficient execution of arrest warrants. Arrest Officers are required to visit customers at the addresses stated on warrants to obtain payment in full, execute warrants by arrest, arrest and bail or arranging a voluntary surrender. Where a customer is not present, the officer shall gather and submit relevant intelligence, making local enquiries to locate and effectively execute the warrant.

Responsibilities
- Prepared to work varied times of the day to meet the needs of the warrant.
- Issue receipts for all payments received and to inform courts of all payments taken.
- Where necessary, to convey persons named on the warrants to courts, police stations or HMP.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and update handheld devices on actions taken.
- Undertake any training necessary for the role including but not limited to, tactical communication, conflict management and breakaway techniques.
- Follow Approved Enforcement Agencies and Prisoner Escorted Contracts Awarded (AEA/PECS) protocol.
- Review and update risk assessments, highlighting concerns to ensure a proportionate response.
- Ensure post incident procedures are followed.
- Comply with all body worn video (BWV) training and compliance.
- Carry out any other tasks as required in connection with the service, execution or return of warrants, summonses, orders, and notices, including obtaining and reporting information regarding the customer and/or the actions taken in executing a warrant.
- Prepared to work warrants within Regions across England to meet client demands.

Personal qualities, experience and skills
- Articulate, numerate and able to communicate and interact with others at all levels.
- Ability to manage conflict.
- High level of self-motivation and able to work between 6am and 9pm.
- Ability to manage and organise large volumes of warrants to meet KPI’s.
- Able to act on your own initiative within the law, legislation, and policy.
- Full UK driving license.
