We are seeking a motivated and reliable Stores Operative to support the efficient operation of our Stores function. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of materials, ensuring production and operational teams receive the right parts at the right time. This role plays a key part in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting health and safety standards, and contributing to a well-organised stores environment.
About The Role
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming goods, ensuring delivery documentation and quality requirements are met.
- Accurately store materials and components within designated locations.
- Pick and issue parts and materials to Production, Assembly, Installation and Service teams.
- Prepare and dispatch goods in line with operational requirements.
- Support stock control activities, including cycle counts and stock takes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock movements are correctly recorded.
- Operate stores equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S within the stores area.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and service levels.
- Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Planning, Production and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the business.
