As a Sustainable Materials Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our mission. You will work within our Transformation business unit, collaborating with industry leaders, academic partners, and senior stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge. About the Role

As a Sustainable Materials Specialist, your day‑to‑day will be deeply immersed in innovation and research. You'll be developing industry‑leading knowledge on sustainable construction materials, collaborating with senior stakeholders to shape our technical roadmap, and forging partnerships with academia for new development opportunities. A key part of your role involves understanding the economic drivers of the materials processing industry to tailor technical solutions that deliver maximum value. You will oversee the certification of novel materials and be instrumental in creating defensive intellectual property.

Required Criteria

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a relevant educational background.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of appropriate industrial experience.
  • Experience of working as part of a team in complex R&D projects.
  • A genuine passion for solving complex problems.
  • Excellent technical skill.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Desired Criteria

  • Masters Degree.
  • Experience of working in the cement or concrete industry.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with industry and academic partners to drive technical and commercial results.
