CDE is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive scheduling buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities with a strong focus on production scheduling and material availability. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, production planners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services, optimise inventory levels, and maintain alignment with production schedules.

About The Role

  • Deliver procurement category excellence and provide procurement expertise in sourcing, contracts, and productivity to support a resilient supply chain strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement by optimising category cost-saving and avoidance opportunities, consolidating tail spend, and maximising value in quality and overall service level from the supply base.
  • In line with the manufacturing planning schedule, ensure all purchase orders required for manufacturing are available when required and are delivered to the correct locations.
  • Identify strategic spending and develop long-term contractual business relationships with key strategic suppliers.
  • Monitor and communicate with suppliers on on-time in full deliveries; ensure 95% OTIF delivery with key suppliers.
  • Ensure IFS compliance/adherence of all procurement-related tasks, particularly updating purchase order delivery dates promptly to allow for real-time reporting.
  • To support and maintain supplier relationships, manage capacities and performances with the supplier to help them meet their set KPI’s and targets.
  • Actively maintain correct standard purchase part inventory in compliance with company policy, including updating min/max and reordering quantity, implementing the strategy set by the business.
  • Attend relevant meetings to represent the operations scheduling team on OTD and report progress to various teams promptly.
  • Investigate and initiate corrective actions for reported issues with OTD, missing parts, stock-out parts, part duplication, or any other issues hindering job closure.
  • Adherence to the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
