Accountable for the coordination of material, equipment, manpower, quality and meeting production schedules and customer satisfaction. Directing the work of others including problem solving and coordination with support departments. Leading a team with the ability to work hands-on when required.

Responsibilities
- Adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Monitoring and continuously improving shop floor safety, eliminating unsafe conditions.
- Assuring processes are followed to meet production schedules and capacity is in place to meet demand.
- Schedules and prioritizes resources, and adjusts staffing to meet production and customer requirements.
- Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to agreed schedule.
- Evaluates, assesses, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training.
- Leads regular improvement discussions with team members and support departments.
- Deliver on department KPI’s and initiates corrective actions when required.
- Drive 5s standards for work area whilst identifying and implementing improvements.
- Drives root cause corrective action and drives continuous improvement.

- To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
Required Criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an assembly / manufacturing supervisory role
- Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Dependable and reliable
- Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative
- Willingness to develop and adapt to new situations
- Team Player
- Available to work flexible hours
- Clearance to work in UK
Desired Criteria
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of manufacturing assembly processes leading a team
- Experience in development of production lines, following lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP systems
