We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person with aninterest in Stroke to be part of our expanding team in delivering highstandards of care to all our patients. Thestroke unit at UHND is a 32 bedded unit with 8 dedicated to hyper acute stroke.Our aim is to provide a holistic care for acute stroke patients through amultidisciplinary approach by working with our stroke specialist teams oftherapists, doctors and nurses. The unit receives direct stroke admissions fromthe paramedics, accident and emergency unit, emergency assessment unit and gppractices. One of the integral part of our stroke care is the provision ofthrombolysis for eligible patients 24 hours a day and referrals to regionalthrombectomy centers 7 days a week. They will oragnise and plan care, depending uponthe patients needs ensuring all care needs are met.
