Advanced Clinical Practitioner in North East

Main duties of the job

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, undertake diagnostic reasoning, and contribute to the management of patients with undifferentiated and complex presentations.
• Request and interpret investigations within your scope of practice and deliver safe, effective, person‑centred care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in service development, quality improvement, teaching, and audit, while engaging in extended study.

Person Specification

• Qualifications
  • Evidence of professional knowledge acquired through a Masters degree or equivalent level of demonstrable professional knowledge/experience.
  • Supplemented by evidence of post‑graduate diploma specialist training, experience, short courses plus further specialist training.
  • Recognised Teaching qualification.
  • Registered Mentor.
  • Non‑Medical Prescribing or willingness to undertake.
  • Clinical Assessment course.
  • Knowledge and experience of Emergency Care.
• Statutory Registration
  • Registered Nurse on part 1 of the NMC register; Valid UK NMC PIN or HCPC registration (Paramedic or Allied Health Professional with a registered professional qualification).
• Experience
  • Experience in emergency care.
• Special Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to communicate condition‑related information to patients/clients and carers.
  • Ability to communicate highly sensitive, complex condition‑related information to patients and relatives, demonstrating empathy and reassurance.
  • Accountable for own professional actions, lead specialist for defined area.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of integrating research and evidence‑based practice into clinical work.
• Special Requirements
  • Able to work day and night.
  • Driving posts must have a valid Full UK driving licence.

Salary £49,387 to £56,515 a year, pro rata.
